Lancé par le collectif PRAXIS, le concours d’idées pour le MONA (Museum of Non-Visible Art) invitait artistes et architectes à imaginer un lieu pour apprécier ce type d’art insolite. Notre proposition, MONA’S Doors, propose de diviser le futur musée en de multiples petites salles de contemplation, réparties sur l’ensemble de l’île de Manhattan.

[TEXTE DE PRÉSENTATION, VERSION ORIGINALE] It is intriguing to think about the ability of the human being to envision a work of art, especially in terms of aesthetic experiences. This concept, that addresses the way a person interact and respond to an artwork, can serve as a reference when defining what is visible art and what is not. In fact, the MoNA, as a museum of tomorrow, will act as a new medium that not only stimulates primary human senses, but also prepares visitors for deep emotional responses to art. The proposed environment will allow cognitive processes to happen softly, perfectly tuned to the realm of the non-visible. In this regard, the duality of the psychological and physical experiences of art needs to be felt throughout the architectural qualities of the museum.
